Illinois' talent level is a lot closer to that of the Hoyas and Commodores, and before Saturday's loss, the Illini were ranked among the top 25 nationally in both field-goal and 3-point percentages. They're still 44th in field-goal percentage (47.4 percent), 51st in scoring (77.4 points per game) and 20th in assists (17.3 per contest), and they're shooting 40.6 percent from 3-point range with McCamey and Richardson each knocked down perimeter shots better than a 45-percent clip. So Wednesday night's game should test how much the Tigers' defense has improved.
