Illinois announces free admission for most Olympic sports events

Illinois wrestling, gymnastics, track & field, baseball, softball, and soccer will now allow free admission. Illinois will continue to charge admission to football, men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball. All four of these sports offer season tickets. Tennis, golf, and swimming and diving already had no admission charge attached to their events.

The next two Fighting Illini events fans can attend at no cost include the Jan. 7 wrestling match against West Virginia and the Jan. 8 track meet against Iowa. Illinois will host swimming and diving and men's and women's indoor track from Jan. 14-16.
