Illini struggle in tight games

No. 16 Illinois, which plays at 2 p.m. today at No. 20 Wisconsin, has dropped all but one game that was hanging in the balance in the final 60 seconds. On a team that has four seniors who play key roles, coach Bruce Weber thought the Illini would not have a problem in those situations.
"We just couldn't get over the hump" in Tuesday's loss at Penn State, he said. "Illinois-Chicago was the same thing. We have to find ways to score at the end of games. We went through that last year. We didn't have seniors but hoped we would move on and learn. Now we have four seniors who went through some of that a year ago."
