Illini hope to get transition game back in gear

"You get into the league, transition defense gets better and better," Weber said. "Your offense transitioning to defense gets better. It's something I talked about at clinics all the time. It'll help you win some early games if you work on transition defense early because a lot of people don't."
Now that the defenses have caught up to Illinois' transition game, the Illini have to adjust by, well, running faster, they said.
"At the start of the Wisconsin game (Saturday), we didn't run," senior forward Mike Davis said. "They missed a shot and no one ran the floor. We have to get back to running. We're a good transition team."
