Starting lineup switch gives Illinois a fresh start

The starting lineup changed. Perhaps not coincidentally, so did the final result.

Looking to jump-start his struggling team, Illinois basketball coach Bruce Weber juggled the lineup, pulling guard Demetri McCamey and center Mike Tisdale and replacing them with Brandon Paul and Meyers Leonard. The Illini finally showed a spark and ended a four-game Big Ten Conference road losing streak with a 71-62 win over Minnesota on Thursday at Williams Arena.

"We played our butts off," senior forward Bill Cole said. "When we do that, we're a top 10 team in the country."
