Weber will be 'dumbfounded' if Illini denied bid
March 9, 2011 1:06 PM
Weber broke out his stump speech at his news conference Tuesday, campaigning for the selection committee to look closely at strength of schedule.
"I'll be honest, we played a tougher schedule. One, to prepare us, but in hindsight, it's got to help. I will be dumbfounded (if we miss the tournament), to be honest, " Weber said. "If it becomes a factor, I will totally change my mindset of scheduling philosophy, I promise that. What's the sense in doing that?"
