Klee's Illinois basketball awards

Most improved player: Crandall Head

Next season there will be four capable (if not excellent) ballhandlers on the roster: Sam Maniscalco, Brandon Paul, Tracy Abrams and Crandall Head. Coaches were hesitant to utilize Head for most his freshman season; he played double-digit minutes only twice (at Ohio State, vs. UNLV). But unlike classmates Meyers Leonard and Jereme Richmond, Head maintained a positive attitude in practice and improved as the season progressed.
