Scheelhaase looks to improve passing

The one area where Scheelhaase and others have pointed to where he can get better is his passing. He threw for under 100 yards in four games last year and had three games of 200-plus yards. One of his best performances of the season was the Texas Bowl in which he was 18 of 23 for 242 yards.

"As a quarterback, I really feel like I can make strides in the passing game," Scheelhaase said. "Our passing has been getting a lot better. We're gaining confidence in that. If we can make big strides in the passing game, I think our offense can be dangerous this season."
