May 27, 2011 9:10 AM
Willie Argo tied the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth and Davis Hendrickson ripped a first-pitch base hit up the middle to drive home Matt Dittman for the winning run in top-seeded Illinois' 5-4 comeback victory over No. 4 seed Ohio State to wrap up day two of the Big Ten Tournament at Huntington Park on Thursday. The Illini advance to face No. 2 seed Michigan State Friday at 6:05 p.m. CT with the winner of that game moving on to the championship game of the tournament.
"This team is amazing," Illinois head coach Dan Hartleb said. "We did the same type of things last weekend with late-inning wins. The character of this team is amazing how they honestly believe they are never out of games. They're a special group that you can never count out."
