Stream of consciousness - Arkansas State

August Syndrome. I've found it to be absolutely impossible to avoid. As do all college football fans. Somewhere, yesterday afternoon, some Kentucky fan told his buddies that Morgan Newton just might throw for 350 yards on a porous Western Kentucky defense. Probably threw in a "can we set a record for total offense in one game?" too.
And then as Kentucky entered the fourth quarter with a 7-3 lead and 75 yards of total offense, that same Kentucky fan was logging on to his message board clamoring for Mike Leach. It's easy to feel awesome about your team in August. When September reality hits, half of all fans get punched in the face. Somebody has to lose every single game. (Well, unless it's 1995 and you just need a single field goal to beat Wisconsin and go to a bowl but you miss it and you tie 3-3 and you stay home for the next 4 seasons.)
