But even amid all the raving about the performance in Saturday's 17-14 win over Arizona State, Koenning couldn't find it within himself to join the praise after the Illini recorded six sacks and forced three turnovers.
"We left another five sacks out there and that should have been easy," he said. "Had we executed like we should have -- they're going to make some plays -- we shouldn't have given up anything. A couple of my guys said we didn't play very well, and it's good to hear them say that."
