The day after: Zook wants answers

A day later, Ron Zook was still trying to find out what happened to his best offensive lineman during Saturday's game against Western Michigan.

On the final play of the first half, a Nathan Scheelhaase Hail Mary pass that was intercepted in the end zone, Illinois tackle Jeff Allen was called for a personal foul and ejected from the game. He stayed in the locker room during the second half as Simon Cvijanovic took his place.

"I've got a call in to (Big Ten officials coordinator) Bill Carollo," Zook said. "It's hard to tell on the tape. From what the officials said to me, it doesn't look like that's what happened on the tape. I've got to find out."
