#1 Volleyball victorious at Ohio State, 3-0

Top-ranked Illinois used a multi-prong full out offensive attack in a straight sets 25-22, 25-12, 25-22 victory over No. 25 Ohio State in Columbus on Friday night. Senior Colleen Ward had eight of her match-high 14 kills in the second set, pacing three Illinois players with double figure kills. The Illini (16-0, 5-0 in the Big Ten) defeated the Buckeyes (12-6, 2-3) for the seventh straight time ahead of Saturday night's showdown at No. 8 Penn State, a place Illinois has won just once.

"I enjoyed watching us play tonight and I can't honestly say that every match," Illinois head coach Kevin Hambly said. "I'm excited to see what we can do offensively because it seems like we have some horses and some weapons. We were a little smoother and I thought we passed pretty well."
