Big Ten power rankings: Week 9

9. Illinois (6-2, 1-2): A 6-0 start seems like a distant memory as the Illini have looked uninspired in back-to-back games. The offense failed to score in the first three quarters for the second consecutive week and struggled mightily on third down at Purdue. Quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase and Co. must regroup before an even tougher test this week against Penn State in Happy Valley. A win will get the Illini back on track, while a loss will increase chatter about a second-half collapse and put some heat on coach Ron Zook.
