Three freshmen impress Weber

Heading into Illinois' basketball exhibition opener Tuesday against NCAA Division II Wayne State, Illini coach Bruce Weber said freshmen Tracy Abrams, Nnanna Egwu and Mike Shaw have pulled ahead of their classmates in the playing rotation.
"They all can give us a little something," Weber said Thursday at the Big Ten Conference media day. "Right now, those three guys look like maybe they've separated themselves a little bit. The thing we've emphasized with all of them is just find a niche."
