Illini may be eyeing assistants in Big Ten title game

A battle between the country's No. 4 scoring offense and No. 6 defense for the Big Ten championship tonight in Indianapolis will feature an individual matchup that has grown in significance along with the list of coaching openings around the country.

Wisconsin offensive coordinator Paul Chryst and Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi have become the focus of considerable speculation. Rumors connecting them to the Illinois search have taken flight and been doused but never completely put out.
