A bowl is a great experience for a college athlete

One thing stuck out to me today: a bowl is a great, great experience for a college athlete. Every year, at least each of the last few years after the system expanded to 35 bowls, you hear the same thing: "6-6 teams deserve to go to bowls? You're REWARDING mediocrity!" To that imaginary person making that statement I say this: Yes. 6-6 teams deserve to go to bowls.
