Meyers Leonard a center of attention at NBA draft

"He isn't very strong right now, but he will carry a lot more weight. He's going to fill out physically," DraftExpress.com President Jonathan Givony said. "He has an intriguing skill level on offense. He has great footwork. He can make a mid-range jumper. He has the framework of a nice offensive game."

Leonard's personal story is captivating and uplifting. Brian Siler, an insurance agent in town, became aware of Leonard's situation and took a role as his father figure. Leonard began spending time with Siler's family, often going to church in Robinson and on family vacations with them.

On Father's Day this year, Leonard called Siler. "I was lucky enough to have people in the community help," Leonard said.
