Miles Osei could play quarterback in the Big Ten and win. So says Illinois co-offensive coordinator Chris Beatty after watching the junior this spring and summer.
But with Nathan Scheelhaase in control of the starting spot, the Illini also are interested in the other positions Osei can play. He spent his week at Camp Rantoul throwing, catching and running.
"We really feel good about him at quarterback," Beatty said. "But with his athleticism and the guys we have, it doesn't make sense for him to not be playing, sometimes in the backfield, sometimes in the slot."
