Barcodes: Illinois unveils digital ticketing system

As is standard practice at professional stadiums and a growing number of collegiate venues, all tickets will be scanned at the six portal entrances outside Memorial Stadium using a barcode on the bottom of each ticket to verify admission. Scanning identifies counterfeit and stolen tickets and provides improved security and service.
