Wisconsin Badgers chew up Illini
October 7, 2012 9:45 PM
In a pinch, Illinois football coach Tim Beckman finished the day with another bad taste in his mouth.
Caught on camera using smokeless tobacco in a 31-14 loss at Wisconsin in a Big Ten game played before 80,096 at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday, Beckman committed an NCAA violation and a faux pas, just when his Illini were starting to look a little better.
"I guess it's the stress," Beckman said. "There's no excuse for that. That's a bad habit of mine. I apologize for that."
