"The biggest thing we were looking for was to compete with great effort," Groce said. "Our effort was terrific. We came out swinging. Our ball movement was really good early.

"I learned tonight how good they wanted to be. Monday night (in the intrasquad scrimmage), we didn't play particularly well. Everything we addressed in the film, we got better tonight."
