Illinois-Ohio State preview

Braxton Miller completed one of his four passes -- a TD to Jake Stoneburner -- the Buckeyes ran for 211 yards, forced three turnovers and claimed a 17-7 victory that only briefly eased the discomfort in Columbus but pushed the Illini toward a football black hole that has now thoroughly captured the program.

Today, the Buckeyes are undefeated -- if muted a bit by this year's probation -- and clearly the best team so far in the brutally lukewarm B1G. Illinois is ... well, the Bucks' bizarro mirror reflection, losers of 10 consecutive conference games with no signs of immediate relief under Tim Beckman, the former Toledo head coach who replaced Zook after Illinois turned 6-0 into 6-6 last fall.
