Groce overturns lineup in sloppy exhibition win

Illinois, which trailed 12-8 early, went on a 36-8 run to close out the half and led 44-20 at intermission.
"But when you get a team in that situation, the first four minutes of the second half are really important and we didn't play well in those four minutes," Groce said, describing how Illinois' play turned both sleepy and sloppy. "Our play in the second half was sporadic and random at best.
"You can't fool the players. They know we didn't play a 40-minute game. We played 20 minutes."
