John Groce talks summer practice

John Groce:

The biggest surprise was that Malcolm Hill came back at 232. He was 211 lbs at this point last year. He's added 20+ lbs while adding 1% body fat, that's pretty amazing. He's really starting to develop into his body, which we knew would happen because he's so young. Technically by age, Malcolm should really be a freshman in college right now instead of a sophomore..

Guys are going to have to make sacrifices. We talked about that last Sunday in our meeting. Guys are going to have to sacrifice minutes. Guys that are used to not coming out of the game are going to have play less minutes, get more blows. They're going to get less shots. Guys have to understand that we're going to pass up an okay shot for a great shot. Make one more..

Our motto for this season is 10, for 10 Toes In. You've gotta have 10 Toes In towards the sacrifice concept and towards understanding that discipline and details effect performance and improvement. Every game matters. Every drill matters. Everything matters.

Groce interview begins at 6:45-
