Wake Forest 80, Illinois 73
Illinois fans, what we learned: 1) Opponent zone/size are major problems, 2) Aaron Jordan is a godsend, 3) Team has serious grit. Winnable game, but, honestly, the unfathomable blown goal-tend/plus foul call dug a deep hole. Still nearly recovered.

Hot start & some more Aaron Jordan brilliance weren't enough for #Illini on the road. Costly mistakes with turnovers & fouls. Finke didn't give ILL much of anything. Yes, refs were bad. So was ILL against a bad defensive team.

3 points for Wake Forest, foul on Finke, Wake Forest ball!

In all seriousness, that is the most inexplicable call I can remember. It's not just that it was bad. It seemed to contain no fundamental understanding of how basketball actually works.
