So proud of this team. I thought for sure they would lose, but they grew up a little bit today.

Look at the penalty yard differential.

Apparently Lovie & staff got through to the team on that count.

Great win!

Seemed like we got a lot of negative yard plays from our defense today like the old Gardner Simeon and Hardy teams. And duh they aren't as good a defense as those all - american teams , but when these guys have a good play they have a GOOD play

Shock the world against wisconsin

That was just such a great answer by George and the offense after going down by 3. And love the multiple TO's by Lovie, letting his D look at everything they might do.

Good use of TO's? He must have picked that up from the Zooker, right?

Number of penalties per game since Purdue: 12, 6, 5, 3, 2. And that's with a week-to-week increase in playing time for freshman and inexperienced players. And zero turnovers today too. Maybe I'm seeing what I want to see but I feel like this staff has us not beating ourselves nearly as much. If that holds up, it would be huge progress regardless of the W-L record.

Really fun game. Great coaching down the stretch to get the points we needed. Staff and kids deserve a ton of credit.

Listening to Illini at work. Startled my co workers in the next room when I war hooped several times the 4th quarter! And a big one at the end! Thanks to local station WFIW for carrying the games for many years. Good job Dads, Illini and the fans. Also, the Band and Jimmy John's.

What a game. So proud of the guys for pulling that out. Dan Hawkins is the most anti-Illini color guy out there. That was beyond annoying but I can put up with that if we win! So relieved.

I'm so happy Illinois won. I wasn't expecting another win this year but they got the job done.

I'm also thankful that Kendrick Foster didn't transfer. He plays so hard and has done nothing but produce when given the chance to play. Amazing how he was pretty much not used at all for three years.
