My best guess is that Whitman has no idea what is being thrown around on this board because he's been spending all of his time finalizing contract details and final details of hire to be prepared for Monday announcement. I think this deal has been done for a while now. We are all just guessing and reaching. What better way to spend a Saturday, right?

This is *NOT* a defense of Cuonzo, but this tourney is showing that the RPI conference rankings isn't very accurate. PAC-10 may not be as bad as everyone assumes.

Recruiting might be a challenge but underwood is a great coach! Walker would be nuts to leave now. Who wouldn't want an Iba disciple to learn offense. Underwood is a winner albeit in a limited head coaching capacity. I see josh opening the checkbook to pay walker and other potential top recruiting assistants now. I assume we got him less than the $25 M it would take to get Bennett. ?

Great coach, no doubt. Our program improved ALOT today. I think the disappoint comes from the expectation set by hearing we had $4+ million per year budget. The Underwood hire implies we couldn't get the guys worth that. Great great coach though.
Why are people mad?! Underwood is very very good and exciting to watch!
