Wheeeeeeeew. It wasn't pretty. Some flashes of greatness from a few players. Just win baby.

Amazing the difference in feels that a tight win with a ton of Freshmen vs. a tight loss with a ton of Freshman creates.

WHEW! :illinois:

For all who gave up in early in the 4th quarter -I assume you'll keep your promise and move to Canada.

A win is a win - not pretty - but they did figure out a way to correct the course in the 4th quarter.

Thank God we blocked that because it probably would have been roughing the kicker giving them a much better second chance to tie. Whew!!

We were lucky to win that one. Good thing we got a Dude (k) back to get us back in the game. Hopefully the young guys learn a bit from tape and come back better.

did not deserve this win.

Not sure I agree. These teams were actually pretty evenly matched talent wise. That's the larger takeaway. With what, 18 underclassmen in key spots, including several true freshmen, we're a mid-pack MAC team right now. At least that's what I saw.

Well Epstein should be the starter. Offensive line needs to be better. Chase needs to better as well his missed Malik Turner on 2 potential TD passes. The defense is young but stood tall even though they were on the field a lot. McGee has to call a better game. Run the ball until they stop it.

Whew. That was a tough one! We need a whole lot of work on defense. But a win is a great thing for this young team.

50+ freshmen in uniform. A Win is a Win. Don't know how many more we will see, but they play hard and are excited for one another.

Epstein is the real deal.

I look forward to watching the development. Leave Lovie alone and let him recruit and do his thing.

A lot of mistakes but they never gave up. What can you say about Dudek, other than he is a great player. Epstein was fantastic. Good special team play. Lovie says the biggest improvement is from week 1 to week 2. I hope so.

A Win is a Win, but we were outplayed & as was said we didn't necessarily deserve it.
Zero pass rush all day, until the very important final minutes:ms:
The Oline struggled all day, as did most of the offense.
But we got the W, a lot of teaching moments & hopefully the staff learned a lot about the team:illinois:

We are a 2-3 win team. Thats what we were predicted to do, thats what the writers and media thought we'd do, thats what we have the talent for. It is all about the future and getting better players to win titles. Next year the goal is to be in a bowl, year after that we start seeing the fruits of this.

This year? No chance. Didnt expect any different than what I saw today
