1. Check your calendar. It's no longer the 1980's. We aren't an elite Big Ten team.
2. Lovie is playing 20 true Freshmen.
3. We're currently projected to finish last (or 2nd to last) in both Football and Basketball (the two revenue sports) in the Big Ten.
4. We've lost six games in a row

For a celler dweller, we're playing a very competitive game on the road. And Purdue has been playing nearly everyone "tough" this year.

We are so awful at capitalizing on turnovers. It's hard to imagine a less competent offense.

Winning those one on one matchups is our only hope at this point. Hard to imagine the offense doing much else with the way Purdue is stacking the box.

Terrible penalties and brutal playcalling is keeping us from winning. That series after the muffed punt was one of the worst I've ever seen.

Starting to see that Lovie does not make good in game decisions at all. Need to challenge there. Huge play on third down, worth a look. But hey this way we will have one more timeout to ice their kicker with.

Well at least they held 'em to a fg and it's still a one score game. Offense has been pathetic in the third quarter though.

That play HAS to be reviewed. How many times in cfb do we see play stopped for a booth review when call on field is obviously correct? This play was questionable and HAS to be reviewed.

I am, and was during his era. Guess I just forgot his massive in game shortcomings. I was ready for his maddeningly conservative fourth down go vs punt calls and his inexplicable devotion to playing field position at all costs. Wasn't ready for bad challenge decisions too.

Agree, but in college ALL plays are supposedly reviewed. Actually tbh not exactly sure why they have coach's challenge if they are reviewed anyway.
