No matter how you slice it, a sloppy 3-pt win over Tenn-Martin is better than a sloppy 20+ pt loss to Tenn-Martin.

Go Illini.

Never a Doubt !!!! :D

Lots to work on, as to be expected with a rebuilding program. Improve next game.

Straight to the treadmills.

Welcome to Illinois Basketball 2017-18.

Should have won that by 20. Let then back in the game though sloppiness and a lack of focus. Warm up the treadmill.

not great. but a win is a win.

Lots of work to do. But in stretches we looked good. Need to learn how to play during badly reffed games better

Wow the refs were awful but it was all on us that we let them back into the game.

That second half had a EIU feel to it. Glad to have closed it this time, but we lost the second half. I will assume that the Illini players will not enjoy practice this week.

We’re 2-0 like we wanted to be. I’m sure there will be some lessons learned from this game and I think it’s good for these young guys to experience the college grind by playing two games in 48 hours.

I do think this is the sort of game we would have lost last year.

Loved what I saw from DMW. Reminds me a lot of Nick Anderson but better passer.

I long for the day we don’t have to sweat out ugly wins against sub-200 RPI no-name mid-majors. Starting to wonder if that day will ever come again.

The zone'd the entire game as well...we I didn't see much of the spread offense. It will be interesting to see if more teams play zone just to keep us out of that.

Sure we won, but that was not pretty. Alstork was non-existent. We find a rotation things will improve.

Coach looked pretty upset walking off the court. The guy loves teaching moments, and even though we would have loved a blowout win; Underwood got another moment to teach.
I trust they will learn.

This team will struggle in games that the refs allow hand checking or physical play

Kudos to UT-M for playing well. But man were we leaving the underneath wide open. Looked amateurish.

It was obvious how uncomfortable the team is running this offense still against different looks. That will improve with time

Agreed, we do have that as a plus.
