I grew up watching Illini football and basketball in the 80's, 90s and beyond. Although there wasn't a championship every year, we were ALWAYS competitive. We aren't competitive anymore and it hurts. I see a bright future for basketball, but football is light years away. How many painful losses can we take?

He will. He's a Freshman working through the speed of the game. He has a very bright future

I am not as worried about the like 5 min of the game. I am wonder why we have two scores and are getting very little from juniors and seniors. That not a criticism of the players directly but Jordan and Nichols are not scoring enough

I'd say I don't believe in curses, but literally every time I say that it's like the universe has to prove me wrong. Every. Single. Time. I mean, how much crap does a fan have to go through before they finally get thrown a bone? We have to be the most maligned fans in the world of sports.

Yes. I am serious, too.

Freshmen will have grown up and we theoretically return everybody but Alstork while adding Ayo. Will also be far more comfortable with the System. Next year we should expect to dance.

This year we are saltier than the Dead Sea with these awful late-game gut punches.

100%. and this team and Coach Underwood deserve our support. This team is pretty much maximizing what it can do has been right there. There are definitely better days ahead.

should of got back to the zone sooner in the 2nd half. Hindsight is 20/20, but it worked so well in the first, and we didn't get back into it soon enough in the 2nd.
