the Front Range
Missed free throw by TCU, down by 2 with 1 second left. It looks like the Bruce is loose. KSU is up 66-64 in OT.

Kansas State wins 66 - 64 in OT.

Cuonzo coaching like only Cuonzo can. Mizzou losing (so far) with the Porter brothers and FAR superior talent to Georgia. You go Cuonzo!

Miznoz down. Me likey.

I wonder how long it will take before Mizzou fans get tired of having talented players go to waste.

How he keeps getting recruits, I have no clue, but the guy underachieves constantly with the level of talent he has.

Mizzou loses.

I've said it from the beginning (as have many -- i'm obviously not alone here). Cuonzo will generate some hype his first few years via recruiting, but when the reality of his coaching settles upon the earth, the bloom will rot off that rose.

the man cannot coach.

think Michael porter insertion in first have hurt them. lack of chemistry. chemistry> talent without chemistry

Michael Porter, Jr.: 5/17 for 12 pts. Woof.

At least he grabbed 8 rebs.

Like clockwork.

And the final shot . . . . for the loss. 12th seeded Georgia takes down 5th seeded Mizzou despite a double-double from Jontay. Can you imagine what Underwood could’ve done with the Porter brothers and Tilmon? I’m guessing probably undefeated, even IF one of the Porters missed most of the season. I say IF because he would never have gotten hurt. He wouldn’t even have been on that court.

Someone needs to get into Jontay’s ear and tell him he’s a lottery pick. Both Porter’s gone and I don’t care if he’s not ready, I still think Tilmon goes.

Tigerboard in meltdown mode. LOL.

The refs cost them the game. LOL. Hardly... they just stood around and watched MPJ jack up shots, while Georgia took it to the hole.

Not a good look in St. Louis for the kitty's. The dog's chewed them up!

Rather than imagining things and play hypothetical what IF scenarios to feel good, we need to stick to reality. Reality is that we had our worst season in 20 years, so this is not the time to talk smack at Mizzou that is likely heading to the tournament and had a much better season. There may come some time in the future... but definitely not now.

+1000.

I think criticizing Cuonzo for having such top ranked recruits and barely making the tournament is valid, and we did beat them this year, but we aren't really in a position for bragging.

They are going to make the tourney using 7 or 8 scholarship players most of the season and a resume crushing loss to one of the worst Illini teams in decades. Cuonzo had a pretty solid season.

Except we can because we earned the "Bragging Rights" by beating them, so we can brag about that. We need something to brag about. Think positive.

On a different note, if Cuonzo loses in the first round of the tournament, those Mizzou crazies are going to lose it. Just yesterday, they firmly believed that the Sweet 16 was a given.

No, it is always the time to talk smack about Mizzou.

I totally agree.....Martin stole one of our recruits and peeps here are praising him....wtf

Michael Porter Jr. was one and done after all.

One and done for St. Louis.

Two minutes and 38 seconds into the showdown with Georgia, the pro-Mizzou crowd erupted to greet Porter as he checked into the game. Things quickly went downhill from there.

The Tigers (20-12) now wait for Sunday’s bracket unveiling to see where they’ll play in the NCAA Tournament.

Really ? are they assured of dancing ?

I'd say their chances are very good. Would take a lot of bid stealers to knock them out.

“I missed some shots I should have made, but at the end of the day, we lost as a team."
-M. Porter

What a team player that kid is.

On a non Mizzou note... Middle Tenn St loses to Southern Miss in Conf USA. I saw them as a sleeper in the NCAA. maybe not.

Florida and Arkansas are my sleepers from SEC

I'm rooting for the FBI in the SEC. I think they've got a good chance to take down Auburn.
