The 247 article mentions that Kane has a promising offensive game, including face up jumper and extending out to the 3 pt line. The highlights I've seen are him mostly blocking shots and dunking.

Anybody know if there's video out there that shows his him shooting jumpers?

It doesn't appear that Kane currently has 3 pt. range. Here are Kane's stats from 6 games in the Adidas Uprising Circuit in April of 2017.

2.7 PPG 5.2 RPG 38 FG% 0 FT% (0-10) 0 3P% (0-2)

We would be well advised to temper our expectations for Samba Kane. He has potential, but needs time to develop. At best, he will likely be a role player for a few years. Expectations any greater than that aren't fair to him.

Not saying I do not agree, but he did have 4p and 11rb in just 9 minutes in his last game there.

I like Kanes ability to run the floor, and athleticism for his size. He’s going to need to hone his offensive skills, and will have to adjust to playing defense in the B1G.
If he can average 2 points, 2 assists, 5 rebounds and a block a game i’ll be super satisfied.

Does anyone know how Underwood likes to use a true rim protector on defense? I would think that if a guy like Kane (or Ebo) is playing on the line up the line and hedging on screens, he might not be in position to make help-side blocks at the rim on a lot of possessions.

IF the roster stays as it is, this at least frees up Finke and Matic to play a little more at their more "natural" positions albeit this is a "positionless" system. Great get for the program any way you look at it!!!!

If Black is gone, I actually think this opens a new dialogue with Jones this weekend. I mean really, with Leron leaving us, minutes are readily available. More than they would have been before for sure.

I think it clears the path for Trice commitment, and also makes us appealing to Ramey as well. The court will be wide open and the playing time will be wide open as well imo.

Really impressed by Griffin. Kid can score in the lane and shoot 3s very well. BU and staff addressing needs.

Just saw a dude on twitter post that Leron has informed Fighting Illini staff that he plans on forgoing his final year of eligibility for a jumpstart on his overseas career. Ouch.

"A dude on Twitter". Sounds legit.

At Dawdy Hawkins Gym in Pekin for Belleville West v. Moline. Cuonzo and staff are here, no UI coaches. Liddell is a plus athlete, plus shooter, plus ball handler. No holes in his game.
