Obviously, I hope this works out to be the case. Just not sure the timing is right for us.

The timing is exactly as UI wants it...last visit with decision immediate after. History shows this is the final destination more often than not.

Again, assuming he visits this week.

Back when I was in high school, my parents were extremely concerned about my ACT score being public because that is just traditionally something you kept private. I didn't really care but I didn't spread it around either because, again, I didn't really care. However, times have changed considerably and, likely due to the influence of the internet and how public everyone's business has become, high schoolers these days have no real problem just throwing scores like that around. It is what it is. It's not like it's likely to do any real harm. Worst case scenario is that it breeds a little resentment among teens.

So, what was your score? :thumb:

Good point!

In addition to 7'3" Bol Bol (a likely 2019 lottery pick), they've got a top 20 6'8" guy and top 100 6'10" guy coming in.

The 6'8" guy is a wing though so that won't impact Okoro. They're selling Okoro playing at the 4 along with all of those guys, and maybe spot minutes at the 5 if Bol Bol needs a rest. Illinois has the most guaranteed time to playing time but every team in his top 3 would get him at least 20 mpg next year.

Wow. Everything I saw was Illinois or Syracuse.

Good luck to Bryce. I think he's going to be a super productive 4-year college player.

On to the next one.

Haha! I dont think I read a single person predicting that!! Makes you feel a little silly spending so much time trying to read the tea leaves!

All ten 100% Crystal Balls to Syracuse failed and the last visit wins again.

Dang! Was really hoping we would get that kid, love his game. Props to him and his family for what seemed to be a very classy and straight forward recruitment, the second time around.

That being said.. OKOROOOOOO

IF Okoro were to come to Illinois just roll that open scholarship over unless you get a 5th year guy. Then you have at least 2 for next year. Hopefully, everybody on the roster are guys the coaches think can contribute and want. If guys want out that's one thing but you don't want that you don't fit into our plans going on each year.

I was just wondering if anyone thought of confidentiality in regards to posting Okoro's ACT score. I am not sure as a parent I would want my kids score spread around on a internet site regardless how he scored.

FWIW, The supposed test score that is going around is not what he actually scored from what I have heard.

You win some, you lose some. As Self said, if you're not hearing no, you're recruiting the wrong guys. Golden should have a good college career. Best of luck to him.

Now there's a shocker. Hope his Mom enjoys the 650 mile trip to games. Makes one wonder if all those offers were commitable.

Butler's in the Big East. He'll be out East for some road games as well. Hinkle Fieldhouse is pretty cool. I'm sure that helped in his decision.

Good luck to Bryce! Hope he does well.

Okoro wants to run. He likes the tempo. Be excited. :thumb::chief:

If we can get Okoro that would be good enough for me. I'd say save the last scholarship unless you find a 5th-year player who could make a difference on next year's team.
