I just started watching Silicon Valley. It's pretty relatable to anyone who works with coders, architects, and the like, and the characterizations of these tech "visionaries" is hilarious.

Anyone watching this new documentary series produced by the Duplass brothers on Netflix called Wild Wild Country? I'm only through the first of six episodes, but I am hooked.

Just finished Mad Men. I thought it was very good. I’m going to start LillyHammer on Netflix. I watched the first 10 minutes of episode 1 and it seems in the same line of The Sopranos. The main character is played by Stephen Van Zandt and the character seems the same as he played as Silvio on Sopranos.

Lilehammer is an enjoyable show, but The Sopranos it is not.

TV related news...

Ray Szmanda, also known as the Menards guy, passed away on Sunday at the age of 91 from congestive heart failure while in home hospice care in his home state of Wisconsin. Szmanda had retired from regularly appearing in the Menards ads in 1998 but appeared in ads infrequently in the years since.

4 episodes in on S2 of Goliath (Amazon). Really enjoying it, thus far. VG supporting cast and outstanding guest star turns by Mark Duplass and Ana de la Reguera.

Ozark is back on Netflix August 31st, that is if memory serves correct.

4 episodes in on The Looming Tower. Enjoying it. Very good cast, well written. Have The Terror and Legion on deck. Fiinished S2 of Sneaky Pete. VG season, but not as good as S1.

Has anyone tried that Indian detective show on Netflix (Sacred something, IIRC)?

Watched the Sharp Objects pilot last night. Definitely well done.

I went through the 8 episode British dark-comedy The End of the F****** World on Netflix this past weekend. I'd strongly recommend that one for a change of pace.

Yaaaas. That was a good one. Quick and easy to get through in one or two viewing sessions and quite satisfying. Looking forward to the next season.
