As I mentioned, the chances that we become the Golden State Warriors of college basketball or that someone becomes Michael Jordan, or Flyin' Illini, etc. may be a little better than winning the lottery but definitely not better than 0.0001 given current roster. What do you think the odds are? Michael Jordan? Come on? You think there is more than 1% chance for anyone on the current roster? You are making references and comparisons (your own words) to some of the most successful teams and players in pro sports.

Not sure who has said that lower ranked players do not have a chance to be good, certainly not me. But the chances are definitely not good. Now Michael Jordan and Steph Curry and the examples you gave? Given that there are hundreds of lower ranked players every year, and these players come around once every decade (if not more --- Michael Jordan is the best ever) the chances are not good for anyone, let alone a lower ranked player. Per my original response, Michael Jordan was a very highly ranked player, a McD AA who has averaged a triple double. By senior year he was no secret anymore.
I liked the comments from Brian Snow (ref end of Werner show on Thurs)...Xavier is going all in on guys just outside top 100; getting alot of recruits and will be very successful with that strategy. He was ok with us swinging for top 100 with natural or local advantages (mentioned EJ and Shannon)...but thought Oscar was a reach and waste of staff time. TF is a perfect example of that strategy that Snow talked about....just outside top 100

I've always thought these are the best targets. This staff seems much better at finding talent rising instead of dropping in rankings so that could bode well for us. Of course cases like EJ and Ayo, Miller, you have to pursue those guys until they flat out tell you no. Tons of talent up in Chicago right below the 5 star studs that wind up being solid college players.

Most would agree that the difference between say Top 25-50 and everyone else is pretty substantial, Top 100 to say Top 150 not so much. I would be happy getting a class of say Top 100-125 with a 5* sprinkled in each year until we win again....then, well we own the state again!

Rated higher than Kane, Higgs, and Giorgi.

Ratings don't always mean everything...how many freshmen guards rated higher than Trent would you take....that kid is a player no matter the ***'s

Wonder what the deal is with Carl Lewis (no not that one), from Lynwood in Cali....grades? Low number of offers, his video is something else though. Love the way he plays with aggression.

- Ranked #74?

Maybe we just could have a legacy class (not ours-just names) of Martin, Kemp, Pippen? Couldn't hurt right...lol, 6'6, 6'6, 6'3.

Looks like Timme will not be taking his OV to Arizona, meaning he has visited A&M, Alabama, Gonzaga, and the Illini (Illini with the last, most recent visit).

Hard to tell where he is leaning in this one, but I like where we stand.

A 5* every year is very aggressive.

Probably not a positive sign for their chances with earlier offers.
