Quite a few calls made tonight that will not be made in the B10 season.

So we're down by 14 with 5:35 to go to AZ? We've got 'em right where we want 'em!

I didn't expect a win tonight. But if we're going to build this thing back to what it used to be, or at least somewhat close to what it used to be (tournament team), we need to start expecting to win road games against top 25 teams on occasion. Or, for starters, hanging within more than 20 pts.

exactly my point. “seeing some positive things” was for the end of last year. This should be a dogfight, not a blowout with the expectations on this team.

Story of the first 3 games: turnovers and extended scoring droughts.

This thing may have been even uglier had Mannion not gotten himself into foul trouble early.
Or had we not hit the early 3's. I think we have to face it, we have a long ways to go and the jury is still out as to whether we will "arrive" this year or not.

Pfffft.

This should be obvious, but there's a wide distance between "having high expectations for your squad" and "crying like you just found out your wife used to be a man, when you lose a game".

I don't think this game shows that Arizona is "so much better than us", at all.

How many MSU teams have we seen lose multiple games early in the season, and then turn in a deep NCAA tournament run? Teams need time to gel and evolve. We have a lot of quality parts, this year - it's as obvious as anything else on display in this game.

If you want to stop and think about my point for more than 1 minute, you'll understand my point really easily. This "sky is falling" tone cuz we simply hit a cold stretch, on the road, against a ranked team, is *excessive*.
Totally on board here except for that oddly-specific comment about your wife being a dude.

It is obviously still very early, but we need a lot more from Ayo. He looks more like the early 2018 version so far, occasional flashes but then disappears for extended periods of time.

Arizona probably top 15, plays faster. Tough to play this game right after GCU. Need Tevian in these type games.
