I think we should expect this one to go to the wire. You know Cowan is going to show up, and we’ll have a small lapse at some point.

Great half if basketball on the road. This team has talent and is very capable when the play smart, care for and share the rock. Talent is not the issue just focus and working together.
This season it is not good to be in the top 10.
After watching the Illini teams play for 65 years....this team in this game....and should be in every game....is playing like they want to be the Fighting Illini. That did not happen for 30 minutes of the Miami game. They have athletes with skills and can be in every game against every team if they play hard and as a team.. My only critic is that the guards all take it into traffic with no idea how to handle what is coming from other big, athletic teams. Going into traffic takes caution and focus, not speed. Hope they work on that at some point and they can reach a level of play equal to their talent and skill level. When you have 10 guys that can all play, they need to trust one another and play hard at all times and let the coach know when they need a blow.
Sure is fun to see hard work and team play pay off with some good results. There is no guarantte...however...that it will continue.

Great half for the Illini. If Griffin has hit a couple open 3s, they’d be up 20. Coach seemed to play Kofi and Giorgi apart for much of that half, and it seemed effective. contributions from Kipper and especially Feliz really helped. Maryland got zip from its bench.
I don’t think there is any way Maryland shoots as poorly in the 2nd half. Illini need to avoid 5 minute dry spells on the offensive end. Going to be a dog fight.

There's little doubt Maryland will make a run, crowd will go crazy. Are we ready to handle that? Regardless, this team has all the pieces we thought it did pre-season.
Who gets the ball first? I kkow we won the tip but wasnt there a held ball?
