Losing close games is generally the sign of poor guard play..... especially in college. We just don't have "that guy". There's no leader on the floor.

This team has no clue how to run a end of game play. Every time it’s give the ball yo Ayo and pray while he dribbles the game away
Underwood a lazy offense !! Lots of questions for me in this one... why call the time out, let them play. You stop the flow. Why wasn’t kofi in for the last 4 min? Why would you draw up a play out of timeout for Georgi when you know he had been struggling? Definitely not sure what was going on. And I’m all honesty, their offense runs through Cowan, box and 1 him

This is also inexcusable. Call it after the second free throw. Or call it to set up the last possession. Worst possible usage of that timeout. Underwood has honestly been unimpressive on the court for the last few years, and I'm honestly sick of it. He's bad.

Why use the timeout between free throws there?
Underwood should rethink his strategy of not calling timeout and set an offensive play up at the end of games. Freelancing isn’t working

Refs made sure to soften up the Illinois D with phantom calls on Kofi and Giorgi. That wasn't coincidence.
You need to excuse yourself out. "These kids don't care about winning?!" These kids have been playing this game since they could walk. They've reached the second highest level you can in the game. Summers traveling the country/etc. Trust me, they care.
Can someone explain to me why Kofi was on the bench for the last 4:00? Maryland had an 11-1 run over that period?
Refs were terrible, but Underwood was worse. No Kofi in the end, time out in between free throws so Cowan can just miss it and win. Worst coached end to a game that I can remember at Illinois in 30 years.
