After that soul crushing loss.......I'm afraid Michigan will take advantage here.

Livers and Wagner I am worried about...I think we can win all other positions if you will. If those 2 get nearly 30 together, we will not win I am afraid.

This team is close but needs to find a way to get over the hump. I'm confident that will happen at some point this same but hopefully sooner rather than later. A win here and then against ODU and Mizzou would be a season changer going into January.

Michigan by 12. I don't see how we can be favored until we beat someone not terrible.

Well a lot of people who thought we were going to win 10 or more games are not probably not happy. We're gonna sit around 17 or 18, which makes this a must win game. Better come out angry.

We won nearly 39 minutes of the game on the road against the number 3 team in the country. Outside of at MSU (game 3 of our fun start to BIG play), name a harder place to start this BIG season off at?

We've played 9 games and are 3 points away from being 8-1. We're so close. After yesterday, I see a team that can beat absolutely anyone, anywhere, on any given night.

Unless we take a huge step back (which I don't think will happen) I think we go to 1-1 in BIG play and 7-3 after Wednesday. By time we head to Sparty after the New Year we will be sitting at 10-3, where most of us probably guessed pre-season, with no really bad losses on our resume.

Side Note: Plea to Coach Underwood. If we only have Kofi for one season, please make sure he's on the floor in crunch time!

Need to win the rest of the games this year. Start of January looks rough and this season could be over by the first three games of January if they don’t take care of business in December.

We could start conference play at 1-4 and still be ok, but I’m not sure how many of us will survive that. My prediction for Wednesday:

I'm hoping this game's timeouts consist more than Underwood just saying "Ok, just throw it to Giorgi. Giorgi, just do something. Ready? Break!"

A sellout home court advantage would really help us in this game....come out the first half like @ MD and play that way for 40 minutes...If we ever play a full 40 minutes like that I think we could play with anybody in the B1G...

The MD game was the first game that Kofi was in foul trouble wasn't it ? I can't remember much after the heavy inflow of beverages after the MD game and am still a little fuzzy, but please keep Kofi on the floor, play Tev, Griffin and PLEASE play the defense like the MD game..

We have the parts, need to fine tune the lineups to have at least 4 scorers on the court at the same time...When we have KN, DW on the floor together the O flow grinds to a halt and the weave is NOT the answer...try using double screens to free up TF for some open 3's..anything except Ayo rushing to the rim with opponents hanging all over him....

I'm still very depressed from MD and at my age that isn't something I want or need.....lets beat up on scUM and right this Illini ship..

Georgi and especially Kofi need to stay out of foul trouble or we could see us get blown out. Wish the Illini had one more solid big man as a good back-up. We are very thin after Georgi B and Kofi.

We really need this at home. Who knows what team shows up though. Michigan is beatable if we are on our game.

We've played 9 games and are 3 points away from being 8-1. We're so close.

Not sure I'm buying what you're selling here. There are teams that are good at losing by a possession or two, and teams that are snake-bit by unlucky breaks late in games.

I see a team with an average amount of fight in it, that handles success poorly by giving away leads, and no-shows for extended periods with sloppy, unfocused play. For this team to get over the hump, they need greater determination and focus than we've shown. The raw talent is there, but the mental discipline and hunger isn't quite. When I see a team that punches back hard, I'll buy in. Really hope we get that, but so far it's been disappointing to see us struggle when the game reaches crucial moments. This team has too much talent for moral victories --that's just an excuse for missing the tourney.

Huh? And it was very similar to this BEFORE we played well (for a half) against MD...
