Nebraska has better athletes than we do but they have some of the same problems of not being able to stay out their own way. I think it could be a close game, but unless we significantly win the turnover margin again I don’t think we win. I hope we have everyone back to have a good shot at them.

Going into our game vs Rutgers, Rutgers, Nebraska and us were the 3 worst teams in the FBS in terms of completion percentage allowed, according to Rutgers.

If Peters can find a rhythm after being out forever he could have a big day.

Yes, but UNL played OSU and NU (short, high %) in their first 2 games. We will see how we fare against them.

Hopefully keep momentum and make some improvements. IW just missed a few accuracy wise that would have helped out a ton (2 to Barker come to mind)

Wonder what the over/under is for number of plays before one of these teams pulls their starting QB.

If Peters starts, he should be on a very short leash. The run game opened up tremendously with IW at QB. I hope we go with the hot hand and go with IW. Pretty hard to bench the Freshman of the Week.

Not sure who will start for Nebby but seems safe to assume they will also be on a short leash. Personally, I agree with your preference on our QB but I think they'll go back to Peters.

Wow. They do not like us in Vegas.

Makes sense to me. We should be projected to lose almost every game here on out because we only win if our opponent defeats itself.

edit: somehow the quote of Illini80 got dropped.

I'm jumping in early this week. I realize this will be our best chance to win again until game #9, however, the 15 point spread I'm seeing in Vegas seems just about perfect to me. I predict Peters will start and play most of the game, but "ONE" will get multiple reps (maybe even series) throughout the game.

Another nail probably gets hammered into Lovie's coffin. (But yes, I'll be watching and rooting for us to win as always! I hope Peters throws for 300 and IW rushes for 150).

I believe I heard today that Lovie has zero wins against our remaining schedule.

Let that sink in.

Key is staying close, Nebraska is known for bad 2nd halves.Limit mistakes, convert in red zone, stack the box on defense.

I may be crazy but i'll pick Illinois here in an upset

they win the turnover battle, get explosive plays control the clock i like their chances

We are one of the worst teams in college when it comes to Red Zone scoring. We need to find a way to score in the RZ. We should be 2-2 if we could have scored 3 FGs against PU instead of nothing in those 4 non scoring RZ opportunities.

Think we have a chance if the secondary continues to develop and doesn't leave receivers wide open.

I know you have to start Peters but I think our best chance to win this game is controlling the ball with the run game and high % passes, which means we'll probably see a lot of IW regardless.
