totally unrelated , but the outside scenes has me thinking , the weather has been so awesome , that it looked like it could have been September 20, not December 20.

I think the biggest question to ask a coach would be what are you looking for in an OC and DC. How was your meeting with the team? You know his answer will be very good.

Ha!

(though I think they were just blurring out a logo)
I was thinking it was from Lovie taking long naps in the chair. If it was just to blur a logo, it looks terrible. JW: "If you don't like this old, greasy chair, you have 4.2 million reasons to get a new one yourself."

It could also just be the lighting and an indentation from Lovie taking naps. It still looks terrible on camera.

Looking closely at the video, definitely blurred out logo. Or maybe just a tougher patch of fabric on the chair to prevent wear.

It's apparent that Bret has a lot of passion. That should help with recruiting and building relationships, but everything is still going to come down to results. I think we'll learn a lot about our expected trajectory once some staff announcements are made.

Targeting the end of January to finish filling out his staff.
I’m hoping he can get his guys and accomplish it sooner. There is work to be done before the next signing period. Maybe I’m overestimating things, but I’ve assumed he had reached out to some key people prior to being named the coach.

Yeah, I agree. When he was asked about it, he said he wanted to talk to all the players first before talking to anyone else (potential staff). My overall takeaway is that Bret puts a lot of weight on building and maintaining relationships. He also mentioned that he's going to put a lot of energy into meeting with all of the players and selling them on coming back if they can play a role in building the program back to where we all want it to be.

I see it as kind of a chicken-egg problem. He needs to make sure the roster doesn't get decimated if he's going to sell other coaches on coming here. But players also probably want to know who they would be playing for on the new staff. It sounds like Bret has opted to start with trying to stabilize the roster.

Thought he said the beginning of January, but I probably heard him wrong. Either way, I bet some names will be official relatively soon.
And he said he wanted to hire the offense, defense and special teams coordinator and then give those guys input on building the staff from there.

I might have heard wrong too. I thought he said he wanted to start filling some positions soon (early January), but that he didn't think the process would be complete until the end of January.
