We will find out...if Mac is putting up double doubles in Feb for UCLA we will know Cronin's psychological tricks worked. Every kid is difft but Sharrife Cooper started practicing ~2weeks ago at Auburn and put up 26 pts and 9 assists in his debut today. How'd that work out for him?
I don’t think it’s just a scholarship issueI don't see us pulling Oscar. How can we create a scholarship we don't have (for this year at least). Any ideas?

I honestly believe he would have a better career at Illinois, but does UK give him a better chance of being drafted?should of known better when UK was a finalist. On to the next one
+ Lieb
The transfer portal is going to be loaded with really good players. It’s going to be more like NBA free agency, which is fun. Even if we swing and miss with both, it’s no time to panic. I’d really like one of them at least though.
Hamlin will likely never start until senior night. But I do think he’ll have a meaningful impact on the next team in the next two years.BBV, Hamlin and Lieb are unlikely to ever get major minutes. There are many people on here who are very optimistic.
The internet is saying that it will be Kentucky.
It wasn't a miss. We'll see how his career in the NBA turns out but he was a cancer at ISU. While I wanted him I don't consider missing out on his one mediocre college season a major disappointment.Only because THT was so good that he left after one year, and is now a rotational player for the best team in the NBA. Obviously, 3 years of Ayo is better than 1 year of THT, but when they were being recruited nobody thought THT was a one and done. It was a bad miss by the staff.

He wouldn't have fit our system.I honestly believe he would have a better career at Illinois, but does UK give him a better chance of being drafted?
He left after one year with ok numbers. Nothing earth shattering. No one year player who puts ok numbers and bolts after year is a "bad" miss. You don't build a program like that. You build a program by having a player sticking around for 2-3 years unless he's truly a one and done talent and THT was not.
But what he did would have cost us Ayo, so it would have been cancerous to Illinois basketball. If you accept what he did to cause the rift with Ayo not a problem , so be it, if you so not know what caused it then you cannot call it a bad miss. THT caused a situation making it impossible to play where he wanted too. His miss. You're looking at it in hindsight. People saying THT wasn't a bad miss, can only argue that in retrospect, not because Ayo is better than THT, but because THT only played 1 year of college whereas Ayo has played 3. At the time of their recruitment, nobody thought Ayo would be in college longer than THT, which was one of the main reasons many wanted THT instead of Ayo (if they had to choose 1) because people thought THT would be a 3 or 4 year college player. If THT was still in college for a 3rd year, there'd be quite a debate over who would be better for Illinois (Ayo or THT) as a 3rd year player. Especially given the makeup of our current team where we already have 2 guys in TF and Curbelo that can handle the ball. And the main piece we are missing is that athletic 3-4 role that THT can play. The best 3-4 we could have had were EJ or Timme though, so ideally we'd have had Ayo and EJ/Timme.
People arguing "Missing THT wasn't that bad", i mean the only reason you can say that is because THT was in fact SO GOOD that he left Iowa State after his freshman year, and in only his 2nd year in the NBA is playing a key role off the bench for the Lakers. Usually guys that can be labeled "not bad misses" are players that don't perform at the spot they landed in. THT performed. He performed so well that he jumped to the league. Nobody would have thought that he could accomplish that his senior year at Simeon. I have to laugh out loud those labeling THT a cancer. He was nothing but a team guy at Simeon, did his 1 year at Iowa State, bet on himself and got picked in the 2nd round, and now is a key player on the best team in basketball. He's had a huge ascent in 4 years.
Everything I am hearing is Kentucky not a close 2and but we all know "recruiting is fluid" lolKentucky is still pumping out NBA superstars, which in the end is the most important thing for these kids.
I believe EJ was the biggest miss for are current roster !!You're looking at it in hindsight.
