I could see AM going to somewhere like Miami. He'd be "the guy" and still get national spotlight. Don't know the kid, but it's obvious he has an image he wants to keep up. Wish him nothing but the best. Next man up.

Nobody will care about him at a school like Miami and they will turn on him at the first sign of trouble.

Brad Underwood spends a year unteaching the debacle that is MIF basketball and Morgan Park basketball.

Maybe we can add a couple former Meanstreets players and strengthen that relationship.
What do you mean by "unteaching" ?

Does he though? Curbelo is great at getting ball into post, but I think one of his weaknesses was driving and not hitting wing players right away. Miller might not feel he’ll get usage with Curbelo dominating the ball. I think Curbelo will expand his ability to distribute at all levels, but we also talk about him improving his ability to shoot — and I would guess shoot more. By all reports, Miller wants to be the man. Maybe he doesn’t feel that will happen playing with Curbelo. Definitely sucks though.
yes, he does. Curbelo is a facilitator. period. And will only get better. I can’t imagine not wanting to play with a point guard of his skill set.

This transfer business is insane. There was less turnover in intramurals. Probably best to just disappear and log in next October and see who's on what team.
But no fun in that, right?

A post on Facebook has it as a rogue parent. Just like with Mark Smith. So the entire starting lineup from this season is gone. Underwood for sainthood?

This would make zero sense by itself. There must be a disaster coming for the whole program if someone in his spot is wanting out.

He’s been in Miami for like the last week and a half

Adam wanted to be the guy, and with Andre that wasn’t going to happen at Illinois. Unfortunate for sure, but nobody to really blame here.

idk, I wish AM the best. I hope it's an delayed April Fools later that keeps him at Illinois

What else could a 4/5 star freshman want? He started for a top 5 team, was the designated shooter (NBA props), taught that he had to play D, and saw the formula from Ayo on how to get paid to play the game he loved.

Certainly wasn't ready for this. I incorrectly penciled in Curbelo and Miller as our core moving forward. Sucks.

fwiw heard that AM didn't even tell the team he was transferring and that BU reached out but wasn't given a chance to convince him to stay. also possibly a Mark Smith-esque parental situation. regardless sad to see him go
