Giorgi didn’t walk with the seniors did he? I am surprised he didn’t.
Not gonna lie. Hard time cheering for someone who does what he did in the sec tournament.
Guess we got our Mady.
Except, perhaps, against MSU?Kids do stupid things. Yes, what he did was absolutely not excusable.
BU would not take a kid who has not learned from what he did and not be coachable to not ever do it again.
DMW did a lot of stupid stuff out of frustration. yet we still like him.He definitely threw the elbow on purpose and out of frustration, but I 100% believe he did not mean to hit him in the head. His reaction afterward did seem fairly sincerely concerned. Imagine if Kofi did that with his strength.
I mentioned this earlier in the season when Giorgi had the pseudo meltdown when coming off the floor. He has not seen his family in well over a year. He will have his degree in May so there is really nothing here that points to him staying his senior year. I believe the team knows he is going to move on and they are quickly replacing him. I expect an announcement from Giorgi sometime soon. He will leave Illinois knowing that he contributed to the new culture we currently have.Guessing Giorgi's gonna play in Europe.
That’s not really how it is works lolGiorgi didn’t walk with the seniors did he? I am surprised he didn’t.
Lol one mistake doesnt define anyone. It doesnt matter if it happened yesterday or 10 years ago.It happened three weeks ago... Not terribly excited about this kid at this point...
He will graduate in May.....and hasn’t seen his family in 2 years. I expect him to head back to Europe.
Amazing amazing. If he goes, I’ll miss his positive energy. You couldn’t create a better teammate in a lab402, Lambo, and Amazing will always live in our hearts.
He and Kofi, as you know, are roomies. That apartment had to just be a blast. You're right just the perfect teammate.Amazing amazing. If he goes, I’ll miss his positive energy. You couldn’t create a better teammate in a lab
Watching this game film from his freshman year it looks like his wingspan is at least 8ft. LOLPayne's 7'5.5" wingspan will come in handy on the defensive end.
Hawkins views himself as a 3, but personally I see him as a 4. Maybe a 3 down the road as he continues to develop, but not at this stage. I'm really hoping that he can carve out -- by earning it, of course -- 20 min at the 4 this upcoming year. Kid has tons of potential.Do Hawkins and Grandison play the 3 in that scenario with Curbelo, Burnette, and Hutcherson at the 1/2? I don’t hate the idea of a team like that.
Is there a better set of complimentary names for a front court than “Cockburn” and “Payne?”
I mean Ayo walked. I have no problem with it.That’s not really how it is works lol
That was a dirty play for sure, but I think our judgement of players if often shaded by their success on the basketball court and/or our relation to them. Shaq had plenty of disrespectful/dirty plays, but nobody remembers him for that, and there's plenty of other instances like this across basketball at all levels. One's a mistake, two's a pattern. I'm willing to welcome him with open arms and trust that was a bad mistake unless he proves otherwise.Hope he learned for the mistake, but it was a huge one.
Those 2 go hand in hand i would guessIs there a better set of complimentary names for a front court than “Cockburn” and “Payne?”
