2 good adds for IU. Maybe Woodson isn't as bad as many Hoosier fans feared.

I don't know if you know this (I was shocked too), but I've heard that there are things in Champaign you can do after the game...

Lol If you really think that EJ Liddell really came all the way to Champaign just to support his buddy at ILLINOIS' spring football game, not realizing how the optics look or that our basketball staff wouldn't try to have some contact....I have a bridge to sell you.

Again, this is ILLINOIS' spring game, not Bama or OSU. Not exactly appointment viewing to say the least...

I agree, but they’ve always recruited well. It will be under to see what Woodson can do with the talent.

I sense this is the last hire Indiana will make with any of its history being relevant. Assuming Woodson gets at least 5 years it will be 40 years since they hung the last of their 5 banners. Forget the idea of recruits remembering the glory days they’re coming up on coaching candidates being too young to remember their glory days.

No insider, but even assuming EJ was home, seems a little odd to drive 2 plus hours to watch your friend play in a practice game, particularly when the basketball team is being honored at half. If Ace not being there speaks volumes, EJ being there at least speaks a paragraph IMO.

I hope this means he's transferring here, would be great. At the same time, when I was in college I drove longer distances than that to visit friends at other schools, for absolutely no reason other than wanting to visit friends at other schools, so yeah, I'm personally not going to read too much into this one (but I'm not an insider!)

We saw EJ this past weekend at the Pullman Center on the South Side of Chicago watching his brother’s SW IL Jets 2024 AAU team play in the Recruit Looks tourney. Champaign is on the way from Belleville to the South Side so a stop off to see an old friend wouldn’t be too unusual....
Oh....and Illini great Malcolm Hill’s dad coaches one of the Jets 2024 teams and helps run the 2024 age group that EJ’s brother plays on so there still a small Hill-Liddell family connection

Could this possibly be what BU was so giddy about several weeks back when he made the statement that "you do know sh*t!

Doubt it but I’m wondering if we will ever know exactly what it was about. That was in January or February wasn’t it?

Lol, yeah, I have driven from Iowa City to Milwaukee for the sole purpose of partying with a friend who went to Marquette, and we did it about 4-5 times throughout college. Road trips are fun, and it's possible we are reading too far into this. With that said, I could see it the other way, too. I think we can all agree that if EJ were to join the squad, we would all be ECSTATIC and our prospects for next year would shoot through the roof.

Yea it was probably in February but really don't recall....just seemed a little out of character that BU would make a statement like that.....but I'm with you I doubt it...was being a little sarcastic .....but a little intrigued by the thought as well

I have 5 bridges leading to one of my beach houses.
