Getting a visit is a good start, but it sounds like we have a lot of ground to make up. Do we blame Chin for this one? Number 2 ranked kid in 2022 without an Illinois offer until now.

Pretty clear the organization believes essentially losing a month or two of recruiting is worth this hire.
The keyboard hero's (myself included) are hoping for a handshake deal that's been done for weeks WRT AC3. Then he can do some below the table recruiting while he deals with whatever he needs to. Sounds very tin foil hatty but it's the best I got. Maybe once/if Irvin joins he takes the waiver.

hot take? Buzelis is Franz Wagner with much better handles. And I don't think that's remotely close to a hot take.
Am I the only one that isn’t buying all of the TyTy hype? Don’t get me wrong I think he’s a very good player, but watching his highlights I don’t see a level of quick twitch and explosion of other 5 stars. To me he looks like Adam Miller. Good, not elite shooter, good, not elite size or athleticism. Think he will be good but not sure I see a one n done lottery pick or that he will move the needle much more than Ace did. To me he looks more like a 2-3 year player that can make the league if he continues to progress, just like Ace.But he pulled in TyTy and Skyy Clark... LOL
And none of this is a knock on either player. Was glad we got Ace and would have gladly taken TyTy, as top 30ish guys are great gets for us. But don’t think he’s the type of difference maker UK historically gets. JMHO.

Is he helping or is he getting some type of benefit here. If he is just out on the trail helping pops and UI, I have no problem with it (though would prefer to have AC3 in place). Maybe just a naive thought of mine. I say, all hands on deck that we have as long as the hands are clean.
