Gonna be an exciting few weeks for sure! Like everyone else, I think we get Corhen...from there, it gets cloudy. Sadly I think Huff is a pipe dream, but hope I'm wrong. Assuming we don't get him, would we take Whitmore/Casey AND Schutt/Oweh or is it only one of that whole group? If we can only have one I'll take Whitmore for his size, toughness and defense. We have plenty of shooters. I think Brice Sensabaugh, Zach Keller, Colin Smith, Dom Barlow & Malique Ewin aren't seriously considering us unless something changes

Definitely not an insider, but I can answer your first question. We will take 3 more 22s, so the AND option, for sure. And I'm not sure if Casey is really in the mix. Staff appears to be going after Huff.
Agreed and personally I like what Sensabaugh brings also.

I like him too, but we're not on his short list, last I heard.

Glad to here from you 0440. Joel I know you say you’re not an insider but you have a lot of knowledge of recruits. Appreciate your input cause I respect your game so to speak. Indy what’s your feeling about who we might get this year?
Not Indy but they want 4-5 guys in this class and I think they have a legit shot at all the top guys they are after. Chester is legit on the trail.
I'm good with finishing out this class with Corhen/Whitmore/Schutt.

You'd be bonkers not to be, lol. Staff is pushing for Huff too.
I was lukewarm on the Chester hire but am very content with my belly full of crow (to be followed by steaming hot humble pie). He has been unbelievably impressive.
If the staff is pushing for both Corhen and Huff, does that mean Corhen will be a 5? Would Whitmore and Schutt play the 3 if both came to Illinois?

I think staff views Corhen as a 4-5. Whitmore is a 3. Schutt is a 2. If Huff is here and both he and Corhen are in, it'll be Corhen at center. One other point, could very easily play 2 2s at times.

And who are those top guys. Maybe it is the national writer bias but it has never seemed like Schutt was at the highest interest level towards UofI. On the flip side it seems the staff has a better shot at Whitmore than some national guys are giving them.

That's very generous of you. FWIW it doesn't sound great on Schutt. But if we add Corhen and Whitmore to our current commits, that's an excellent class. And I'm guesssing we'd add a 5th.
DB11, in his post from July, said "who says no?" to that list. The staff said "no" to Bass. Just a dumb joke
Look for AC Anderson to insert a name or two that hasn't been mentioned here.
