Somehow, seemingly literally by accident, even Beckman and Lovie kinda found their way toward the middle over time, while just being as incompetent as possible.

We all know that won't happen this time, because we're Illinois and we can only suffer.

Poor play calling/coaching and poor QB play...beat ourselves.

Defense was inspired and played great at times.
Some things went our way. Like their TD being called back bc of a chop block and our scoop and score. And we still lose.

this is mostly on OC Peterson. And I was ready to move on from peters at the end of last season.
Oh well.

Bielema owns this one. Allowing that play calling like there are two minutes to go and you’re up by 10 is inexcusable. They handed this one to Maryland. It’s going to be hard for this team to gain any confidence going forward.

Taking a sack with only a 3 man rush on that last drive was inexcusable. Tall task to turn this around.

I know with a new coach, you have to be patient, but the coach is supposed to put the team in a position to win. He (they) didn't do that. The coaching deserves an F on this game.

The Coaching in the 4th quarter was down right terrible.

This is hard to swallow, but after the UTSA and UVA games this is a step in the right direction. We still don't know how to win, but we are getting closer.

And play calling….good lord. Just put me in a sports coma til basketball season.

Agreed on the oc but qb's lack of awareness is alarming. Didn't he get knocked out of three games for the same reason.
